Good seaweed.
Bought for, and used in a successful recipe. It’s weird and wonderful stuff.

Good value, quality service
This review is just a warning to buyers not to make the same mistake I did. The seller has pointed out to me that what at first appears to be an old use-by date is in fact the production date. I noticed a couple of other buyers leaving negative feedback on this issue, so thought I should set the record straight by way of an apology. It makes great dashi and the used seaweed crisps up nicely for rice toppings.

Good quality seaweed
Good quality kelp. Excellent for dashi, soaking with pulses and so on.

Expensive but ok
Bit expensive for what it is but does the job I intended it for

Nice taste
Big packet. Much thinner and softer than the kombu I used to cook with my beans and it calls itself kelp on the packet. There is no claim about it being harvested in unpolluted waters ( if such a thing exists). Nevertheless it is very pleasant to eat.

bought and used for Ramen broth
Bought this Kombu to add to my Ramen broth pot. I have seen some reviews mention that its covered in white stuff...you know, i think that's how its meant to be...its just salt, just wipe it off with a clean damp cloth. Anyway, once added to my broth pot it simmered away and softened into beautiful flavoursome big bits of kelp. Ramen turned out amazing, would buy this product again

Mouldy
I couldn’t use this even if it’s still within the “good to eat” time frame, but it doesn’t look good and being my first time experience with Kombu, I feel really sad that I couldn’t used it in my cooking.Tried to replace it or get a refund, it said it is not returnable. Very, very weird. All in all, super disappointed and wouldn’t recommend buying from Amazon.
