BlomusDoor Stop

This is a small piece of modern art in the form of a door stop. It is appropriately heavy enough to keep an average weight solid core wooden door in place. It has rubber on the sides (all around) as well as on the bottom. These elements are quite functional in helping it to "stick" where you put it as well as providing a non-marring surface against which the door can rest. I like it because it's functional and stylish and pleasant to look at. The cylindrical design makes it functional from all angles so it's easy and effortless to reposition with your foot. Perhaps it's more money than many would choose to pay for a door stop but I have found it satisfying and attractive to use and the quality of the materials and construction is top notch. If you can afford the few extra bucks, I would encourage you to go for it!

These are heavy. Check the measurements to get an idea of the dimensions before you order. I bought one for my bsthroom to prevent the door from opening into the wall. Great for stopping door handles from banging into walls when you do not want to screw something into the door or walls. They are dual purpose and be used to keep a door open instead or with 2, semi-open (1 on each side of the door). They have a somewhat industrial look to them, which may or may not go with your decor. I thinks its a simple yet elegant concept. If your style is French Country Cottage, this will probably not be to your taste.

What can I say. This is a simple device - not all that different from a paperweight.I'm a big fan of Blomus products and have them all throughout my home. They are a must have if you have an ultra-modern home. I have a few doors that tend to wander - so this beautiful little door stop was the perfect solution.My only gripe is that the product SKU label is adhered to the bottom pad. When I peeled it off, it left a residue that was difficult to remove. I didn't think much of it, until it started leaving streaks of gooey adhesive on my tile. Still, this is the sexiest, cleanest looking doorstop on the market.

At the price I paid (use a price tracker) it is amazing. Ignoring price it is still terrific. Heavy, good rubber on bottom and sides, not ugly. Hasn't damaged the carpet I use it on (and keeps a dog from pushing the door open and sneaking inside).Keep in mind the height and width, make sure that works for you. If it does, this will stop doors. Which is what it does. But do watch prices, I paid far less than the price listed as I post this, but really it is worth much more than I paid.

My husband saw this product while shopping for door stops that will hold and prevent our back and balcony doors from slamming shut.I was very hesitant to get it because it was a bit pricey for a door stop. My husband suggested we got one to try out. Well, I'm glad we made this purchase. It's functional and sleek. I especially like the smooth bottom that works well with our mexican tiles. You can easily move and set it against the door using your foot, but it's heavy enough to hold still our decent sized doors - even on breezy days.We have since bought another one and we are very satisfied.

Item received was not even close to item advertised. Was supposed to be a used Blomus Door Stop. Not even sure it’s the same brand. Came with significant dents and rubber bumpers are all twisted.

The width of this stop is perfect to set against the baseboard trim behind an open door and prevent the door handle from marring the wall. I bought these free-standing stops rather than a less expensive screwed-in door stop to allow the flexibility of also propping doors open when airing out the house. I found that on a slicker floor surface such as a polished wood or cork, the stop will slide if not set against the wall when the door is opened with great force. So far I have not noticed any marks on my white doors from the black stop. The black and metal finishes are easy to clean and looks surprisingly unobtrusive but elegant in a modern house. This and the taller version have worked so well that I think I will get more to outfit the entire house!

Just turned 30, and recently bought a new build apartment. With London property being ridiculous as it is, furnishing ones dwelling with quality equipment just made sense to me after such a large investment. Plan is to buy things for the place that are transferable to any other property I decide to later move/upgrade into. So I am looking for quality and functional items that will last well into the future...I have purchased 4 other different brands & types of door stoppers before finally settling for the Blomus.They have a 1Kg and a 2Kg version I have both. Upon first opening the product from the packaging the first thing to hit you is its weight being so compact you just don't expect it to have the kind of heft that it dictates.Its a very smart looking product and brings about a smile whenever I walk past it and interest from the majority of people who visit. I have noticed it works better on patio slabs (balcony) purely in terms of floor gripping power. The rubber bottom cover adheres to rougher surfaces very very well, great for wooden or laminae flooring as you can just brush it aside with your feet allowing the door to close. But on carpet or rough surface the rubber is so sticky that you have to move it by hand as it wont slide.That not is in no way a negative just shows that they've used quality rubber to adhere to the floor. As with all stainless products I use 3M Stainless Steel cleaner and polish spray and 3M Microfiber cloth to clean and polish it, bit expensive for a spray can but well worth it and little goes a long way.The rubber on the side wasn't as sharp of a finish as the product from ZACK (Model: Argos Door Stop) but no less functional.Not cheap, but worth it if you need a door stop that you can activate and deactivate often and remember you can always take it with you wherever you move to...Buy it!
