There is no mom and dad!
I should read about the authors of new books because it’s clear that the person who wrote it is anti family mom and dad and I don’t want my kids to get confused. In the middle of the book I stopped reading it to my kids even they did not like it, anyway I will try to return it! Lastly the whole family is confusing because they are all different colors and faces don’t match the characters! The story is nice but it’s not family friendly at all what a shame!

Beautifully illustrated storybook for the bug enthusiast!
A charming book about a sweet, smart girl who loves bugs from the author/illustrator team of A Dress With Pockets. This gets read over and over in our house. I think this book is intended for a child who is older, but we read it to a 22 month old. I think she’ll enjoy it for years to come.

My 3 year old’s favourite
A beautifully written and illustrated story which has become a firm favourite in our house. We especially loved that the book was based on a real entomolgist and the tips for building your own houses for bugs. I’ve purchased the book to give as a gift (with a big hotel!) for two of my daughter’s friends and have just ordered ‘A Dress with Pockets’. Can’t recommend enough 😊

A great addition to the bookshelf of curious little minds
So cute!! Our bug loving toddler is obsessed with this book. The charming rhyming story has been quickly and easily memorised for our 19 month old. Colourful and fun illustrations. We loved reading a little about the Evelyn who inspired this story. We will definitely be buying more books from Lily Murray!

Lovely book for my daughter
My 3 yo daughter loves this book. I love how it is a strong young girl character, bucking the normal stereotype for little girls but in a causal way. I think the parents might also be LGBTQ+ as they are two women I think, which again I think is a lovely way to show different families exist but without having to overtly spell it out. Have bought this book for other friends as gifts.
