great little winch
I bought this to replace the old hitch-mounted winch on my 6x6, so I had to do a little retrofitting.I first tested it with the included pieces, wiring things directly to a battery - no issues and easy to understand both the assembly and wiring from the instructions.The mounting plate did not fit my application, which is no fault of the purchase. I cut the old winch off of the old mounting plate, and welded the new one in place, the painted the welds. Quick and easy, and everything slipped into place from there. Connecting to the existing wiring on the 6x6 was also easy, and the old remote (hard wired) worked fine to run the winch from inside the vehicle. Looking forward to it getting some use this year.

Excellent for ATVs
Installed on my 2001 Honda Rancher and was able to install upper in the frame, invisible & protected. Works perfectly.

Great little winch.
Works great for it's size. Easy to install. The remote works flawlessly with no delay.

Works but not as powerful as expected.
For 3000lb winch it seems inadequate. Coming from a 2500lb I expected more. Still does the job. Just seems to bog down.

Winch seems well built. Remote does not work. Not sure if batteries are dead.Wiring is a horrible design. The control box has a red wire and black wire that are roughly 6-7 foot. There is a blue wire and a yellow wire that is approximately one foot. The design is to have the control box mount close to the winch then you would have to find a way to secure it under the vehicle. You are supposed to connect the hello and blue to the winch then run your black and red to the battery. The control box should be close to the battery for dry storage in the battery box. There are no instructions on wiring either. The included switch has about 18 inches of wire so if you have a side by side you might have enough wire to connect the in and out switch to the control box. So I had to turn all the wiring around to make this work. This being said the winch does work. I would not buy another one.
