Is it possible to by the thumb grips separately? I lost one

Yes u can... i actually brought an different variety of thumb grips, but must be sure they're for the NS controller and not any other controller type...as my 1st experience with ps4 replacement grips were very loose/wobbly with this controller, but the NSwitch thumbgrips are 👌fit

Can this be used for any games (i.e. games from google play)? specifically, i am looking for a controller that can be used for sniper 3d.

If the app supports controller use, then yes, if not you can find a 3rd party app to emulate the controller to work like the phones Controls.
