We use this in the spring and fall for our salt chlorinated pool and when the weather hits 100 we remove it. After removal I hose it off and put it away in storage.It raises the pool temperature substantially and our heater kicks in for the last few degrees in the spring. In the fall it does more to preserve the heat from the heater.My only complaint is that it lasts 2 years (2 springs/2 falls). When it fails you get tiny plastic pieces in the pool. Does anyone make something that can last longer... probably; but not for the low price.I will be a return customer.

This blanket worked great during year one. At about 1.5 years, it began getting brittle, and you can see that when we try to roll it up it started breaking in our hands (bubble damage from the bottom side) and tearing. We tried to file a warranty claim, but Sun2Solar (support@poolsupplies.com) said that there wasn't true seam damage or true delamination, only tearing and bubble damage, which is not covered by the 7 year warranty.I wouldn't purchase this item again. We roll it up when we swim and usually keep it in the deep end of our pool rather than move it to our lawn. You are supposed to keep it away from hardscaping and we do.We also live in California, where it is very hot and sunny. The pool never gets above 85F, and the blanket does slow evaporation and chemical loss due to UV reactions.This is our third solar blanket. The first two we owned were blue and black, and those delaminated, so we tried this one, but it was equally prone to falling apart, despite being a better, more expensive blanket.

I ordered the 16x36 foot size and it was exactly that; fits my pool perfectly. It raised the temperature in the pool by about 8 degrees in just a few sunny days. This cover (I’ve had many) seems to be of a good quality. The proof will be how long it lasts. I’ve yet to have one go beyond 3 years so they ought to state that up from instead of using a phoney warranty that says 6 years.Bottom line I’m satisfied with the product.

This product is garbage. If I could have given no star for this product I would have. I spent a lot of time reading reviews for this product and others this one offered a 7 year warranty (sounds to good to be true? It is) it also guaranteed that it would stand up to the UV rays, (which is exactly what I was looking for already knowing our sun is very harsh on things) so after hours & hours of reserch I went with this product because of the amazing warranty. Well DON'T be FOOLED like we were.In the description it talks about if you need to cut to resize to fit your pool don't worry it will still be covered under warranty but it says nothing about needing to take pictures if product doesn't hold up like they say. Ours stared falling apart after just a couple of months use at first the bubbles starting falling into the water so we were having to net them trying to keep them from going into the filter then the whole thing starting getting brittle. Mind you we did not cover the pool every day because we didn't need it on the warm days (and most of our summer is warm) so it stayed rolled up out of the water. When we were putting the pool up for the season that is when we realized how bad this solar cover really was definitley not able to use again and had to throw it straight into the trash. Once I finally got ahold of the selling company she told me they needed pictures before they can determine if they will replace the product and then she started making comments like some consumers don't take care of their product like putting in to much chemicals when I assured her that my husband tested our water often and knows what he is doing with the chemicals and has for years (now I am thinking they are going to just find me at fault no matter what). I then asked if I could get a refund because I would not want to go through all that trouble again with a product that just falls apart and causes me extra work they said the most they could do is ship me another one. I told her no thank you it is garbage they are selling. I very rarely complain about what I buy if it doesn't work but I don't want to see someone else waist their money or time on this product I also don't see how others gave more than 1 star unless they reviewed within a couple of weeks after using this product. Sorry I don't have photos to attach it was falling apart so bad we put it straight into the garbage can and didn't think to take any photos. AGAIN SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.
