Lunar Tides Hair Dye - Solar Flare

This is probably one of my favorite colors I've ever dyed my hair.

I've been dying my hair now for several years - almost every color of the rainbow.Mostly purple and blue, a red here and there; but I have never ventured out into thegreen shades until I came upon Juniper Green. I didn't want to look like a circus clownand I am very picky about my colors.I bought Lunar Tides' Juniper Green and applied it this morning.Easy Peasy rich luxurious cream that applied like a dream! My hair isa mixture of pure white in the front and darkening as it runs back along my scalp - hence,bold color in front, graded in the back. My sides are very short and naturally white, thetop is longer and floppy - awesome look and I get a lot of complements.I applied it as I usually do, with a brush - gloves - hair clips, tail comb, Vaseline around the hairline.I am no colorist or stylist - I am an RN and I do not have any experience in hair cutting or color. LikeI said, I get A LOT of complements from my patients and staff where I work.I kept it on for 45 minutes and rinsed until clear - a bit of conditioner, a quick blow dry and -viola! beautiful hair color!I am giving this 5 stars for ease of application and rinsing and the gorgeous color. I will updatein a week or so...Buy this product!

This dye has no scent idk how I feel about that. It bled but all fantasy colors do. This one did not stain me for a week like a snurf like another brand did. I got it on me & after 2 1/2 hrs of leaving it in my hair it washed right off. I have short hair but it is thick & I used the whole little container. My hair as you can see was not that light plus I had washed/bleached out blue. Its different colors in all lighting outside in the sun is the 2nd pic. 3rd in the car with no sun directly on it. 4th inside a restaurant with dim lighting. I just did it & it's my 1st time using thus product so not sure how long it will last, maybe I'll update in a few weeks.

I've tried punky color and manic panic in the past. Gave this one a try in the shade Magic Salem, it was fine. Not exactly thrilled with the results, most of the time it just looks black. But its not harsh, won't ruin your hair, and easy to apply.I think it's only the black based colors that may have this issue but the bleeding is the worst I've ever experienced. Do not wear any light colors, use any light sheets or towels, it gets everywhere! My hands are purple after I do my hair and I'll wake up with a purple neck. It's pretty frustrating. I colored a week ago have washed it three times and it still bleeds.I'll probably use a color remover on this and try more if a true purple or violet.

This hair dye has never let me down. I've used it on myself several times and my teenager has now also used it and the color is impeccable every time.

Color is okay. Lasting power is kinda middle of the road. Noticeable fading after multiple washes but at least it doesn't wash out completely like ion does (for me anyway).It also turned out fairly yellow on my hair. I wish there were swatches showing what it looks like on different levels of blonde.But the smell is why I give it 3 stars. It smells rancid, like urine. The smell doesn't stick around after you shower it off. But it was very unpleasant to work with... Idk if it's all lunar tides colors, but this one reeked.

I purchased the lavender frost, and crystal frost dyes and LOOKED SO FORWARD TO MOONSTONE. Unfortunately as many have already stated, this dye 1 does not stay, and 2 ,they are not the colors that they display. I was really excited for the moonstone and it didn't come out. I tried to cover it with lavender and crystal frost and my hair just came out super dark and not anythingike the pictures. Not that it matters since they washed out immediately. I haven't had bad experiences with arctic fox and the good dye young. I kinda jumped the gun on this one. I highly recommend other brands and I can see why this isn't sold in stores.

I mixed just a bit of Eclipse black into the Juniper green and couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. This is my first green experience and it is way less messy than any of my reds and pinks! The product goes on so smooth and I was surprised at how little I needed. 4 oz plus the bit of the other color was plenty for my long hair. I'm still glad I got a second jar so I can touch it up as my roots grow out. I've previously used punky color, and would choose this one over it.
