Monzana Electric Retro Tea Kettle 1.8 L 2200 W Fast Boil Filter Cordless Stainless Steel Temperature Gauge Blue

I love the look of the kettle (I bought black), it's much more elegant in the flesh than is evident from the picture. It seems quick to boil, is relatively quiet, is comfortable to hold, easy to fill, easy to pour (with no spills), and solid and secure on its base. I would give it a 5 star rating, but for one niggle ... it is advertised as BPA free, which I won't dispute, but the inside of the kettle does contain an amount of plastic - it is the inside fitting of the thermostat, so is a disc bigger than the size of the thermostat you see on the outside. That was a disappointment, when they'd gone to the trouble of making a metal kettle, down to the detail of the filter also being metal, I don't get what the designers were thinking when they put a wedge of plastic right inside where the water boils. It was also delivered with a mark on the outer casing. Given that I'd have to send it back to Italy I'll live with that. The slight negatives seems to have taken up most of this review, but overall I must emphasise that I am very pleased with my purchase.

If i could give this item 0 stars i would!I ordered this item for same day delivery as my kettle had broken. It arrived the same day with no issues. However, when i got the new kettle out of the box it felt light and cheap. I filled it up half way and switched it on. Within a minute when it started to get going a fair amount of water had leaked from the dial on the side and wouldn’t stop! I emptied it and boxed it straight up and requested a return/refund.Ended up going out and buying a kettle from Tesco on my way back from the post office the following day!Don’t waste your money on this item when there are cheaper, much better quality kettles out there!

What a disappointment! I just wanted to stylish looking kettle with a temperature gauge, so i went for this one as it was fairly reasonably priced. Well, it broke within a couple of months of normal domestic use! Apart from the fact that it felt very light and flimsy right from the beginning, the on/off switch simply started playing up very quickly and finally stopped working altogether. Not a good product. I would not recommend it.

Was hugely pleased with this and now it is failing - will not switch off when boiling which is extremely dangerous if left unattended. Water level is correct and I have video of it failing. Have written to manufacturer - let's see how they respond.

I've had this kettle since July and it's started leaking it's not worth the money

Bought in january. All paint coming off. Not fit for purpose. Waste of money

Lovely looking kettle but faulty, prompt service in returning money. But I would of really liked another kettle but wasnt offered this service.
