Does what I ordered it for
Worth the price. I occasionally have a short mute, but unsure if it is from the TV or speakers or this. Works for what I ordered it for.

Poor connectivity
I am using this product with a pair of Ultra speakers in my bedroom, for my wife and I to be able to clearly hear dialogue on the TV without cranking the TV volume full up. It's been a couple weeks thus far. I got connected up to both speakers fine. On occasion, the speakers go slightly out of sync, but switching off then back on seems to fix it. Also had a challenge once with the 2nd speaker finding back the adapter, but got that sorted after a bit of work. All things I can deal with.My issue is that the connections tend to be a bit spotty - the speakers seem to randomly drop off for a second here and there, sometimes will happen a few times every minute, sometimes I get a decent run of say 10 minutes between drop outs. Hasn't happened to both at exactly the same time.I hung the adapter to below the TV so it would not be obstructed at all by the TV or anything else. It may have helped a bit but it hasn't eliminated the problem - plus now I have this thing dangling below my TV, after I've spent much time and effort into designing my system to have no wires visible from my TV down to the entertainment centre. The speakers are within say 20ft of the transmitter without any obstructions. I am struggling to determine what is wrong as based on the reviews, no one else seems to have this type of issue, which makes me feel like there is a problem with the transmitter. On another TV, I have a TaoTronics transmitter hooked up to an Anker Soundcore 2 speaker. Distance is further between them than my bedroom setup, and the transmitter is behind the TV, yet I have zero issues with losing connection.Additionally, the optical cable does not 'click' into the optical port on the TV so it can come loose quite easily when trying to reposition the transmitter.Overall, I think these are great if I could get rid of the connectivity issue. I will continue using for now but if it does not get fixed as time goes by, I may simply replace with a similar setup as I mentioned I have in my home office, using another TaoTronics transmitter with a pair of Anker speakers (which have been confirmed can pair as dual speakers to give me the exact same hookup).

Works awesome with a pair of OontZ speakers!
I use this adapter to extend sound wirelessly from my TV to my 2 OontZ speakers. There is no lag in the sound and the lips are in sync. My TV is in a large room, and having the ability to place the speakers close to us really enhances the experience - the speakers are placed on opposite sides of us for the full stereo effect. Without this device we had to have the TV booming across the room. With only a pair of the OontZ (Ultra 3) speakers, sound can be extended wirelessly, but effectively not in stereo as one speaker needs to be plugged into the TV to act as the transmitter. This device solves that problem. It can be hidden behind the TV and can receive its power from the TV USB port, so it can power up and down from the TV.This device would be 6-stars if it only had an aux output, which would allow adding a subwoofer or other wired speakers to a pair of Oontz speakers.

easy to install & works great but USB port broke
May 27, 2021 modify my original review. Great sound but in less than a year the USB port on one is broken. Figure the second will go shortly. Looking for another alternative.July 7, 2020 – My hearing was damaged in combat during the Vietnam War and it has only deteriorated with age. Watching TV was becoming a challenge with me constantly turning up the volume of the sound bar. Got so loud I was concerned about hurting my wife’s hearing. After some research which included the Amazon reviews and Q & A’s as well as reading the user manuals on the Oontz Bluetooth Adaptor on line, I went ahead and purchased it along with the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra – two speaker edition.Worked like a charm. The installation was a snap even for an older guy like myself. Everything you need is included with the package. The sound is great. My wife has her own speaker with the volume at a “normal” level and I have mine. My volume is not as high as I expected to need since the speakers work on batteries , I can have the speaker closer to me thus containing the noise level at night. There is absolutely no lag between the picture and the sound. My only wish was that I had found this earlier. I highly recommend this product.

Works well
Per the first - one star - review, it is "Designed for use with supported OontZ speakers". I got a male RCA to male 3.5 mm connector to connect the Record Out from my preamp to the Oontz Bluetooth Adapter. The Oontz Angle 3 Ultra speakers, set up vertically on either side of the kitchen sink, take up very little space. Very good sound. Latency - when living room speakers are on (and they can be muted without affecting my Record Out signal) is minimal and not bothersome. Got these when my kitchen radio died. Now my radio is from my (wired) internet radio in my stereo via Bluetooth to my new kitchen speakers. Running into the kitchen when watching TV or listening to music, I don't miss anything. Speakers do not work and play well with the microwave oven.
