Not very reliable
The first vehicle I tried it on it work really good . But when I tried it on my old truck because I was going out to buy a trailer and wanted to make sure the lights worked, only the 12 volt power supply and brake lights seem to work on that plug. So I spent half a day cleaning connections and rewiring it, still did not work. However when I got the trailer and plugged it in everything worked fine. I think it was a voltage problem, I was only reading 8 volts on the trailer hookup for my truck, which I don't think was enough for the LEDs in the sensor but was enough for the LEDs in the trailer lights.

Unfortunately cheaply made
When I first plugged it into the socket only one light would show. Then I discovered that if I didn't fully plug it into the socket, it seemed to work ok. With further use, I discovered it just didn't make reliable connections with the socket (even though I had my socket wired correctly). Guess I'll spend a bit more and get a Pollak tester (or not - I see some idiot seller thinks they can get $91 for one - I have seen it for under $20).

Great Product!
Ordered this product to investigate a suspected problem with the trailer wiring harness on my truck. The tester was delivered fast, and it has a feature where you can flip over the LED readout if your harness is mounted like mine is.It quickly showed the "12v" LED was not lit when plugged in with the motor running. I queried the seller as to if this was a problem and got a reply literally within the hour! They advised that this was not normal so now I know I need to have this repaired. Highly recommended!!

Works Kinda
Item works but not well. I have a few vehicles with trailer connectors. This worked well on 2 out of 4 connectors I tried it on. I think it has something to do with the connector pin style. At first I thought it was my connectors and spent about an hour verifying my connections. I finally connected it to my trailer and everything worked. I would look at a different one next time. Other then that it is simple to use.

Breaks after one or 2 insertions
The product worked on the first vehicle I tested, however there is nothing inside to securely hold the contact pins in place and several pins slid into the tester after the initial use.I tested my second vehicle and thought it had a problem, then realized the problem after I put the tester back into the first vehicle and didnt get the same reading I got the first time. It was very frustrating to try and troubleshoot my tow vehicles when the tester itself is broken and I didn't notice the contact pins sliding in

Simple!
Great tester for the price! Plugged it in and it work prefect. The only thing i would add is to highlight the labels for each indicator light to make them easier to see. Maybe white lettering?

I needed to pinpoint some wiring confusion and this was exactly what I needed. Worth the money to take away frustration.
